  Following Gabi Garbutt’s self-released 2019 debut ‘The Discredited Language of Angels’, and her sophomore album Cockerel, released in 2022, Gabi is joining forces with Daemon T.V for her third release, ‘The Creation of Birds’ E.P, out 28th April 2023. Available on CD with limited edition Zine, including lyrics, illustrations and photos designed by Gabi herself, the CD boasts two new unreleased demo tracks unavailable digitally, making this physical release something really special.
  
  Having garnered support from the likes of Steve Lamacq and Cerys Matthews, and having toured with industry giants The Libertines and The Boomtown Rats with her band The Illuminations, Garbutt is no stranger to producing the kind of jangling indie pop ear worms that bring the listener back again and again, via both her recorded works and her live performances.
  
  Taking inspiration from contemporaries such as Ezra Furman and Valerie June, as well as lifelong inspirations such as Patti Smith and David Bowie, Gabi’s poetic lyricism and shifting musical landscapes are at the core of her songwriting.
  
  The lead single ‘Panic’ is a collaboration between Gabi and Du Blonde, and of the song Gabi says, ‘the song is about the feeling of panic and in using multi-sensory imagery, I’m trying to express how all-consuming panic can be. You’re moving through all these chaotic internal landscapes when really you’re just standing at the lights waiting to cross the road. I sent a stripped-down version of the song to Beth (Du Blonde), who turned it into this euphoric punk-pop banger.’
